The knowledge of land and soil characteristics, such as slope, geology, land-use, type & depth of soil, climate, socio- economy and legal aspects of the specific area help in obtaining the most rational and productive interaction between resources. We are working in rain fed area having undulated topography. Out of 20,000Ha, 14,000 Ha are fallow class – VI to class – IV degraded land. Scarcity of drinking water is the critical problem during summer season. Almost 85% drinking wells become dry in summer. Water table goes 40 to 45 feet bellow. Thus watershed concept is the only solution to over come the situation. |
