Genesis    Social development is a slow process , which passes through various phases to effect a change in the society, that  is why the social workers/activists have unique mode to work with the people for effective implementation and successful replication elsewhere. Thus a team of such social workers initiated unique model of natural resource management through community participation first in Garhawa district of Jharkhand and further replicated in other districts of in other district of Jharkhand and Bihar. In the process , National Rural & Mountain Tribal Development Association (NARMDA) came into existence in the year 1995.

Objective: The main objective of NARMDA is to facilitate the community for natural resource management and integrates health, education and livelihood for overall development of family as a basic unit.

Activities:

OLD AGE HOME IN SASARAM OF ROHTAS

· Community organization in form of Self Help Group, self supporting Cooperative society, Farmers club, Mahila Sangathan, Federation, CBOs. and NGOs.

· Conservation of water, soil and plants through implementation of watershed programme in collaboration with district administration.

· Skill Development, entrepreneurship & micro enterprise development programme.. Etc

· Advocacy on human rights- right to food & information
